Type SS 430 Sheets are magnetic in all conditions, are not heat-treatable for hardening purposes and are weldable but SS 430 Sheets welds are not suitable in rigorous service. The tensile strength for SS 430 Sheets in the annealed condition is cataloged at 65,000 PSI minimum, its yield at 30,000 PSI minimum and elongation at 22%.
